Launching summer 2026
Bring your color
back.
You can't apply your way to better skin. Salnae goes where ageing actually happens.
Salnae is built on astaxanthin, the strongest antioxidant carotenoid found in nature. Around six thousand times more potent than vitamin C, around one hundred times stronger than vitamin E. The only carotenoid known to cross both the blood-brain and blood-retinal barrier, embedding inside cell membranes where ageing actually happens.
We paired it with seven actives that compound the effect: CoQ10 for mitochondrial energy, biotin for skin protein, vitamin C and E for membrane defence, B3 for repair, zinc and selenium for enzymatic protection. Eight molecules. One capsule a day. The most complete cellular defence stack you can carry in your bag.

Why most beauty supplements don't change anything
Skincare stays on the surface. Most pills never reach where ageing happens.
Ageing happens inside cell membranes. The outer layer of every cell in your skin, eyes and brain. Topical creams cannot reach it. Collagen powders break apart before they get there. Generic antioxidants neutralise damage in your gut and stop. Almost nothing on your shelf actually goes where the work needs to be done.
What most products do
- Creams. Sit on the outer skin layer. The damage is happening underneath, in cell membranes they cannot reach.
- Collagen powders. Get broken down by digestion before they ever become collagen in your skin.
- Generic antioxidants. Vitamin C, E, polyphenols. Water-soluble, neutralised in the gut, never embedded inside the cell.
- Minimum doses. Most pills sit at the legal floor. Far below the level any clinical trial used to show a result.
What Salnae does
We built the brand around one molecule almost no consumer brand has: astaxanthin.
- The red pigment from algae. Fat-soluble. Embeds directly inside cell membranes where oxidative damage happens.
- Crosses both barriers. The only carotenoid known to cross the blood-brain and blood-retinal barrier. Reaches skin, brain and eye tissue intact.
- 12 mg at clinical dose. The upper range used in published trials on skin elasticity and cellular protection. Lipid-encapsulated for absorption.
- Seven supporting actives. CoQ10, biotin, vitamins C, E, B3, zinc and selenium. The stack that lets astaxanthin do its work inside the cell.
The pigment
Flamingos eat the algae. Salmon eat the algae. So do we.
Astaxanthin is what makes flamingos pink, salmon orange, koi vivid, autumn leaves on fire. It is the red carotenoid that the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis produces to survive intense sunlight, drought and oxidative stress.
In the body it travels into the skin, eyes and mitochondria, embedding inside cell membranes where it neutralises the same free radicals that age cells from inside out. Move through your thirties and your body makes less. Salnae gives it back.

How it's made
Three things change the outcome.
Source
Haematococcus pluvialis.
A freshwater microalgae grown in closed glass photobioreactors. No solvent extraction. The algae is the supplement, concentrated.
Dose
12 mg per capsule.
The upper clinical range used across published trials on skin elasticity, cardiovascular protection and mitochondrial function.
Form
Lipid-encapsulated.
Astaxanthin is fat-soluble. The capsule pairs it with a plant-oil carrier so the molecule reaches the bloodstream intact.
8
actives
paired with astaxanthin in every capsule, selected for skin maintenance, cellular energy and oxidative defence.

What 12 weeks looks like
What happens in your body, week by week.
Week 4
Skin starts to hold.
Hydration improves at the cellular level. The dryness around your eyes by 7pm fades. Subtle, but you notice it in the mirror at the end of the day.
Week 8
The dull edge goes.
Skin tone evens out. The grey cast that comes with stress, sun and screens lifts. People begin asking if you slept better.
Week 12
The glow lands.
Visible luminosity. Energy in the afternoon stops dipping. The protective layer your body used to make in your twenties is back.

Why Salnae exists
We did not set out to build another supplement brand.
We started because the most powerful protective molecule in nature was either dosed too low to work, sourced from petrochemicals, or buried inside formulas designed for the shelf, not the body.
The science is now strong enough that one capsule a day can change what your skin and your cells do for the rest of your decade. We built Salnae to put that within reach of anyone who wants it. No mystical wellness language, no shortcuts on the dose, no compromises on the form.
